Octatrack journey begins

The Octatrack has arrived and here’s a first explore of this extraordinary machine. Three patterns and four scenes. 

Already I get the sense of the effort needed to understand its architecture, patterns parts banks and scenes. Got hold of synthdawg's manual  printed it up and now just gotta read it. Meanwhile will try and make one short piece each week in an effort not to be too bamboozled by the range of possibilities of this box.

So this is just three tracks one pattern and four scenes. Two tracks straightforward with preset drums and a chord sequence. The third track has random samples locked to some of the 64 different steps with a variety of effects and mangling. Then it's just playing with the scenes to make something happen. 

Not to radical or innovative but this is where it starts.
